Audioboom is one of my favorite Web 2.0 tools! I use it to send audio feedback to students (University) and have recorded several tracks with Coonley students!

  2. I used Audio Boom in my classroom as a form of publishing. Students are given the chance to record their story so that I can then create a QR code for their recording to share with the class. This has been very well received by the class and they get super excited to listen to the stories.

Here is an example of Alex's story:

    1. It sounds like you had a great "publishing party" where parents were able to hear the Audiobooms as well! I also really liked your "ReadBox" (see picture here: http://zumpanotechlab.blogspot.com/2015/06/4th-quarter-technology-highlights.html)

  3. Audioboom was one of my favorite tools I used throughout the school year. Students recorded book summaries, reviews and even created characters. My favorite thing we did at the end of the year was record summaries of our Young Author stories. We did not have time for everyone to share their stories in full, so this allowed us to listen to a quick preview. We then all shared our Young Authors on a separate document with links so we can read the entire story if the summary on Audio Boom appealed to us. I plan to do this and try to utilize AudioBook even more next year.

    1. I enjoyed working with your students and Audioboom! This is another great alternative to having students hand in work- have them record audio answers and post on a common website (or google classroom).

  4. Can not wait to try this out with my groups!! Think of things you would like to record - assignments, test answers... https://audioboom.com/boos/3373110-welcome

  5. I used Audioboom for a class assignment where I had to interview an ESL student. But hope to use it in my classroom this next year. I love the idea of having students summarize their stories or even record their published pieces. I think this is a great tool for those students who do not always want to share in front of the entire class but could still get presentation points.
Here is the interview I conducted with an ESL student.

    1. It's such a simple, yet powerful tool! One of the best features of Audioboom is that it automatically generates a QR code linking to the audio recording. This way you can print the QR code and don't have to generate it (saving yourself an extra step!).

  6. I think audioboom could be used for many purposes in the classroom. From "all about me" projects, summer vacation show and tell or sharing creative writing pieces, audioboom can allow students to share a presentation without the pressure of having to do it in front of the class or be embarrassed by any misspeaking errors.

    1. Great points, Matt. Audioboom also generates QR codes linking to every recording so imagine the wall space you can save by simply placing a QR code up as opposed to 30 projects!

  7. I used audio boom for hall displays of students work. This gave students a chance to tell about their work and not have to just write it down. It also made the displays in the hall more interactive. Students in the class enjoyed going around and viewing and listening to other students work. However I think few other people used the codes to listen to the students. How can I get more people to actually listen to what the students have to say?
